That's a Wrap! Week 6

On our last day of desserts, we made a Mango and Lime Cheesecake that we served with mango puree and glass biscuits. It was a cold set cheesecake, which, let's face it, is never as good as a baked cheesecake, but it was still nice.

The next day was a test day, in which we had to prepare the Spaghetti, Steak, and Mousse from previous lessons. Feel free to take a trip down memory lane to remind yourself of the fun that they provided.

The Friday of this week, I was lucky enough to be involved in a function that was held at one of the Tafe restaurants, Tiros, for a group of Japanese delegates who wanted to see what kind of things the students come up with. I was involved with the desserts, so we made a tasting plate of three different desserts that we'd made over the past few weeks. These included a Chocolate Mousse, Tiramisu, and a Glass Biscuit Orange and Raspberry Stack

So that's it from Commerical Cookery kiddies, from here on, it will be pastries and cakes, so prepare to be dazzled. xx
